I have always imagined myself a published author…on top of multiple P.h.D’s and a screen write or two. A bit ambitious but still, something I still want to accomplish before I die. But I have always hit a brick wall in my writing. Again, I can create characters and world build my little heart out. But, when it comes to putting words on paper, whether it’s actual paper or a computer screen, I freeze up. The dreaded ‘writers block’ rears its ugly head and mockingly plagues me all the while its cousin self doubt points and laughs at me from the corner. But there is something that has been said to me recently that I have not actually considered, ‘write what you know’. I know a lot. Seriously. But its more of the mish-mash trivia information that would only come of any use in some small town game at a bar. However, I know Anthropology and history. So, for my next adventure into writing, I will be digging into these two topics….stay tuned.
