“Stop chasing the money and start chasing the passion” – Tony Hsieh
I might be preaching to the choir, but have you ever started a hobby or something you have always wanted to do and end up dropping it? Leaving it behind because you either have no time – life gets in the way or you can’t find anymore ways to make the thing stick? Yeah. Me too. I’ve had my fair share of hobbies and passions that I tried. A still new Nikon camera sits in my closet collection more dust than finger prints. I have participated in a few years of the NaNoWriMo trying my best to write something that would be novel worthy. I think the best I got was somewhere around twenty thousand words? I’ve even tried my hand at a few blogs, which has never turned into anything and was always deleted. But nothing truly seems to stick. Or me sticking with it. The only thing that I have stuck with through everything is Anthropology. But that is another post in itself. I guess what I am hoping to happen with this blog, is that I will stick with something and make something of it.
So here it is….the most uninspired first post that explains why I am even trying to do what everyone else on the internet is doing. Let’s just see how long I can stick with it?
